JOB TITLE: Lead Video Architect
LOCATION: Maryland
 

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Serve as senior level resource responsible for the architectural design, performance, and integration of the agency’s video enterprise including any proposed changes or enhancements.
  • Design, performance, integration, engineering and configuration of the contract; 
  • Proactively evaluate the agency’s video enterprise and recommend technical/process improvements to enhance ongoing video operations;
  • Plan, oversee and validate all system testing prior to installation into production;
  • Ensure that any proposed enhancement meets all technical and security requirements;
  • Proactively monitor the overall system performance for capacity planning purposes;
  • Provide technical documentation and engineering drawings;
  • Manage and direct efforts for the modernization of video delivery services.

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of experience in system engineering and IT Support
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully planning, designing and implementing large, complex technical video solutions (similar size, scope and complexity to the agency’s video enterprise);
  • Video interoperability expertise to include a minimum of three years of experience in the design, configuration and operation of Polycom and Cisco Video Conferencing environments, Skype for Business (SfB) video, Unified Communications (UC);
  • Networking expertise;
  • Video enterprise-level design engineering experience
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers to develop recommendations on technical enhancements while supporting day-to-day operations of the video enterprise
  • Video monitoring and reporting experience
  • Proven track record of managing several projects and high-level initiatives at one time
  • Ability to prioritize efforts to ensure ongoing operations and new initiatives are managed effectively
  • Ability to assess current video design and configurations to make recommendations that align with the agency’s long-term video goals and objectives
  • Quality Assurance capabilities

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, computer Engineering or related field required (Master’s preferred)
