JOB TITLE: Lead AV Technology Manager
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Oversees AV Engineering and AV Installation staff, its policies, and its procedures.
- Leads design of AV technical infrastructure, including AV-dedicated IT infrastructure
- Serves as technical liaison to Enterprise IT support team
- Evaluates and assesses new technologies resulting in formal reports, summaries, and other consultation products
- Provides training, expertise, and support on new technologies to all contract staff
- Engineering support for metrics-driven AV service desk (root cause analysis, infrastructure changes and system alternatives, interfacing systems issues)
- Responsible for the status of system documentation, troubleshooting and service manuals, and technical SOPs
- Collects and reports on support metrics supporting service level agreements
- Maintains a positive outlook – a person who inspires others
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:
- 15 years progressively responsible experience
- Expertise in presentation/ collaboration AV systems and infrastructure, streaming media, digital signage, IT networking (as related to AV and media distribution)
- Ability to lead a technical team on delivering customer satisfaction and meeting strict SLAs
- Ability to help others grow, particularly engineers and technical staff, in both service and technical capabilities.
- Ability to listen and assess challenges and opportunities to collaborate to find solutions and implement change
- Expertise with utilizing and facility documents (i.e. architectural and system CAD) to describe technical infrastructure requirements affecting the architectural, acoustical, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Proficient at multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced, high-visibility setting
- Experience managing multi-million dollar AV integration projects
- Professional training with at least 5 years of technical leadership in an AV, event, & video production environment. Successful track record of innovative technology solutions and demonstrated ability to ensure client satisfaction.
- Federal Government Experience, i.e. Social Security Administration
- Experience with large event support
